Projects & Facilities Manager - Seaford Town Council

Seaford Town Council has an extensive portfolio of properties, facilities, assets and events which it manages. The Council is seeking to recruit an experienced and proactive Projects & Facilities Manager to assist in ensuring the efficient management of the Town Council facilities and assets, and develop projects in accordance with the Council’s strategic aims and objectives.

Service delivery is a key component of the role and the ideal candidate will therefore have previous experience in project management, managing facilities and leading a team. Levels of customer care must be impeccable, with very good communication skills, flexibility in responding to situations and a can do attitude. Previous experience within Local Government or the public sector is desirable but not essential.

The role is on a full-time basis of 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The salary is set at NJC scale points 39-42 (£34,538 - £37,306 per annum).

Flexibility will be required at times with working hours; the Council runs a time off in lieu scheme in exchange for any additional hours worked. The Council is also able to offer membership in the generous Local Government pension scheme, above average holiday entitlement and other employee benefits, such as Perkbox membership and discount on food and refreshments at The View at Seaford Head.

Assistant Manager - The View

The View at Seaford Head is a restaurant, bar and function venue located on Seaford Head Golf Course.

We are now seeking an Assistant Manager to join the team and assist in the development of this new business. This is a hands on role where you will spend most of your day on the floor with your team serving golfers, diners, coffee mornings, meetings etc. Alongside this will be the opportunity to assist the manager in training and mentoring the team and seeking improved profitability at this new venue.

Experience of weddings and functions is desirable. We offer a fantastic working environment with a good salary, 31 days paid holiday and very attractive working hours.

Apprentice Chef - The View

Interested in beginning a career as a Chef? The View at Seaford Head has an exciting opportunity to join its team as an Apprentice Chef.

This position is ideal for a candidate with some exposure to the requirements of working in a kitchen, who has an understanding of the tasks at hand and is now looking to begin their career and gain a qualification.

In return for an enthusiastic and loyal apprentice, The View as the employer will meet the costs of training, provide support and assistance to the trainee at all times, offer generous staff benefits (including up to 50% off food and refreshments) and give a warm and welcoming team to join and develop with.

The View is set alongside the stunning Seaford Head Golf Course and as a venue is open seven days a week, breakfast through to dinner; catering for walk in customers, users of the Golf Course, private events, business functions and more. The ideal candidate must be able to show flexibility with hours of work, which will include evening and weekend working. An apprentice will be supervised at all times however.

The apprentice will study towards an NVQ in Food Production and Cooking, which will be studied on-the-job and will not require day release to college. The View would support the apprentice through every aspect of their training.
