The Town Council fully supports of the Government’s Vaccination Programme and is pleased to hear that increasing numbers of the public have now been vaccinated.
If you would like to read more information about the Covid-19 Vaccination Programme you can do so by visiting Public Health England here - https://www.gov.uk/gove…/organisations/public-health-england and the NHS here - https://www.england.nhs.uk/…/covid-19-vaccination-programme/
The Programme is evolving rapidly in our area and Seaford Medical Practice has been regularly updating patients via its website here - click here
It is understandable that there are concerns about the need to travel to vaccination sites, it is however hoped that a Seaford site will be available to those unable to travel very soon. In the meantime, if you do not have your own transport and cannot use public transport to get to a Vaccination Centre, you can contact Havens Community Cars on 01273 918226 (open between 9am-3pm) or email@example.com. Havens Community Cars is a volunteer car driver scheme and all drivers are DBS checked and provided with PPE. There is a small fee to cover admin and petrol. This is a voluntary service run by a local Community Interest Company so it does not have an endless supply of drivers; the service should, therefore, be used by patients who cannot get to the Eastbourne Vaccination Centre in any other way. This is an extremely helpful service and the Town Council thanks Havens Community Cars for offering this service.
As the lockdown continues, the Town Council would like to highlight the details of the NHS responders, who can offer support such as with shopping, prescriptions and essential medical appointments. They can be contacted on 0808 196 3646.
A huge THANK YOU from Seaford Town Council to all NHS and frontline workers for their continued service to the people of Seaford and beyond.
