Joe Lacy the Seaford Young Mayor, is organising a free Sports Day at Seaford Head School, Steyne Road, Seaford on Saturday 6th November – open for all ages and abilities.

Joe Lacy, the 2021-2022 Seaford Young Mayor, together with his chosen charity ‘Defiant Sports’ and Seaford Head School, are organising a FREE Sports Day on Saturday 6th November at Seaford Head Lower School, Steyne Road, Seaford. It is open to all ages and abilities. There is a timetable of events running from 10am – 2pm, including boccia, football, tennis and dodgeball (see the poster attached)

Defiant Sports is a charity that aims to open doors into sport for many people who, without their help would be excluded. Their mission is ‘connecting through sport’. They believe getting and keeping people active is paramount to improving wellbeing. They aim to reach those who have a barrier to participation, especially with disabilities or long-term conditions.

There is no need to book, just turn up – although please note that children will need to be supervised at all times.
Joe is involved in organising this event and says – “I am passionate about sport and proud to support this charity as they aim to make sure that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, is able to experience the joy that being active and doing a sport can offer.’
