After the success of last year’s Seaford Christmas Magic, Seaford Town Council are keen to make this year’s extravaganza even bigger and better. This year’s spectacle is being held on Saturday 7th December from 10am – 5pm in Seaford town centre. It will combine the evocative sounds and smells of Christmas with entertainment and attractions for the residents of Seaford and beyond to enjoy.

Live music will be ringing out from the main stage at the top of Broad Street throughout the day. Entertainers such as Jamie Morgan with Virginia Thorn, Rebecca Clay with Colin Hughes, Seaford Choral Society, Pop Up Singers, Megan Rose Mulpeter, SPRuNG, Concentus, Vocal Repertoire, Kings Church, Archway and more will be keeping the joyful Christmas spirit upbeat with a whole range of singing styles.

Shannon Smith will host an exciting and eclectic mix of vocalists, musicians and other contemporary performances on the performance stage, just off Broad Street. The dramatic Stix Drummers will be very hard to miss as they perform around the town centre.

For families with young children, Santa’s Grotto will be found at Seaford Barn Theatre. Follow the trail through the craft market stalls as helpful elves direct visitors to a magical Christmas grotto experience where children’s eyes will light up in anticipation of meeting the great man himself.

Lantern making is also hugely popular with young children. Coloured tissue papers, custom designed and cut stamps will be available in abundant supply at St Leonard’s Church hall from 10am – 3:45pm. Even if it’s not possible to join in the parade at the end of the day, do pop along and make a lantern for free. The lantern parade is a highlight of the day, both for the children taking part and the onlookers. It begins the build-up to the switching on of Seaford’s Christmas lights by Father Christmas. Children can take their lantern creations home with them as the LED lighting makes them fun and safe to enjoy throughout the festive period.

The Christmas lights will be switched on at 5:00pm To top off an exciting day, sit back and relax at the Barn Theatre where Seaford Community Cinema will be showing Mary Poppins Returns, a U-rated film for all the family to enjoy. Booking is advised. Tickets are available online at and from the Tourist Information Centre at 37 Church Street.

Free parking will be available in car parks on West Street, Richmond Road, East Street and Saxon Lane during  the event.
