Seaford Town Council wish to formally congratulate Her Majesty the Queen on Her Platinum Jubilee, being formally celebrated tomorrow, the 2nd of June.

As part of our tributes, we have organised flying the Jubilee flag, and floral and bunting displays in the appropriate colours around the town.

Tomorrow evening, the most formal part of the celebrations is taking place, the lighting of the Jubilee Beacon. The ceremony begins at 9 pm with the lighting taking place at 9:45 pm. This will take place near The Shoal at the eastern end of the seafront.

There are many other events taking place across the town over the Jubilee weekend, details of which can be found here: www.seafordtowncouncil.gov.uk/seaford-platinum-jubilee-2022/

Finally, we'd also like to remind people about the Family Picnic area on The Salts playing fields - this could be a good spot for people looking to picnic together over the Jubilee weekend.

It's an honour to be part of the nationwide tributes to mark Her Majesty the Queen's 70-year reign, as people and communities come together to thank Her Majesty for Her service to Her country.
