Seaford Christmas Magic – Lighting up the Festive Season!

On Saturday 5th December, Seaford Christmas Magic is bringing a wonderful range of entertainment and attractions for the people of Seaford and the Lewes district. This year the attractions are open later with the event running until 7pm, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the shops and the atmosphere that little bit longer.

Why not visit for the day so that can take in the whole event? Take a walk around the town centre; with plenty of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as the family activities at St Leonards Church Hall you can take a break whenever you need; so you can take your time to enjoy the variety on offer.

On Place Lane opposite St Leonard’s Church yard, you’ll find a number of market stalls, call in to Fonetastic for a range of tech and games, and then there’s Wynne’s for a range of household and hardware products as well as their seasonal offering including Christmas Trees on sale.

There is a great selection available from the local stores, as well as a little extra on offer from the market traders, so don’t forget to experience everything Seaford’s town centre has to offer. On Clinton Place there are more shops and businesses and you will find Home Hardware with their seasonal range now in stock including a range of Christmas gifts as well as lighting; and then there’s Station Approach and Dane Road with more cafes, restaurants and shops.

Visit Church Street for more outlets, look out Badger Inks with their new store, pop in to see the team at the Tourist Information Centre or visit Arts@theCrypt to take a moment to enjoy one of their exhibitions. Wander along High Street with its historic buildings and the range of interesting shops leading through the bottom of the Town Centre and along to Toytown the family owned toyshop with their huge range of toys and gifts..

On Broad Street through the centre of town you will find more market stalls and attractions, also look out for Sussex Eyecare, for professional quality eyecare services. Don’t forget the lantern parade will be heading through Broad Street later in the day up to the Main Stage at the top of the Broad Street.

There are shopping bags on offer this year; with limited availability these will be available from one of the event stewards as you enter the Town Centre; these will have some gifts and information inside about products from our sponsors.

Pick up an event programme, available in November from a variety of outlets around the town. For travel information see the programme or visit the website.

The event sponsors this year also include Andy Anderson & Son the longest established Locksmiths in Seaford with their 24 hour service; the gorgeous country house hotel Deans Place of Alfriston with their fine dining and extravagant accommodation; and Rathfinny, the local vineyard and winery using traditional wine making to produce wines with distinctive and alluring qualities.

The event will mark the switch on of Seaford’s spectacular Christmas Lighting display; come along and join Seaford’s Mayor and Young Mayor in marking this memorable occasion and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

Markets stalls are available to book now so contact the organisers via email, telephone or through their webpage or Facebook.

The Seaford Christmas Magic Team gives thanks to this years main sponsors; Toytown, Billy’s Beach Hut and Brooklyn Hyundai. For more information about the main sponsors and their businesses visit the Seaford Christmas Magic website.
