Seaford Seafront Shelters Vandalism

Submitted on 08 June 2018 by STC Officers

Seaford Town Council are sad to report that some time after 10.30pm on Wednesday 6th June an act of vandalism occurred to the seafront shelter at the end of The Causeway, just along from Frankie’s Kiosk in Seaford.  Plastic furniture was also smashed belonging to the Martello Kiosk.

There was significant damage caused to the shelter with a total of 4 panes of glass being smashed. At the present time there are no known leads.

Costs are being finalised for the replacement glass.  Seaford Town Council is looking at other options for glazing the shelters as vandalism of this nature has been a problem previously. The cost to replace these items is met directly by Seaford tax payers.

If anyone noticed anything suspicious or has any information relating to the incident, please report it to Sussex Police either via email or call 101. Equally if anyone witnesses any similar incidents please call 101 immediately.
