Seaford Town Council’s Community Grant Scheme 2015/16

Submitted on 12 May 2015 by Council Officers

Seaford Town Council is pleased to announce that its Grants Scheme is now open for applications!

Each year the Council extends the opportunity to local community groups, charities or voluntary organisations to apply for a financial grant from the Council’s grants pool.

In the 2014/15 scheme the Council were thrilled to be able to support the local community with grants totalling in excess of £12,000.

There are certain criteria that must be met to be eligible for a community grant, these are set out in the Council’s Grants Policy that is available from its website at

There are two types of grant available, small grants of up to £500 or larger grants over £500, up to a maximum of £3,000. Terms and conditions do apply.

In previous years grants have been awarded for specific projects such as equipment for Seaford Lifeguards to make public safety videos, the disabled access project for Seaford Museum, improved facilities at the rugby clubhouse and activity days for the Downs Syndrome Development Trust. Grants have also been awarded to help ensure the continuation of services offered that have a clear benefit to the community and residents of Seaford such as the Dial-A-Ride bus service, Seaford Stroke & Caring Club and Seaford Citizens Advice Bureau.

For an application form please email Lucy Clark, Support Services Manager on or telephone 01323 894 870.

Please note that the closing date for applications to be submitted by is noon on Friday 12th June 2015.
