Seaford Town Council is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2025-2026 Mayor’s Awards. The awards will be presented at the Annual Town Meeting on Thursday 30 April 2026, which the Town Council is once again delighted to facilitate.
The Mayor’s Awards provide a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the inspirational acts of kindness, dedication, and generosity that make Seaford such a strong and supportive community. Each year, these awards shine a light on residents and organisations whose contributions often go unrecognised, and the Town Council is proud to help share their stories.
In addition to the Mayor’s Awards, nominations are invited for the prestigious Don Mabey Award, which honours an individual who has gone above and beyond with their services to the town and its residents.
Councillor Maggie Wearmouth, Mayor of Seaford for 2025–2026, said: “One of the joys of being the Mayor of Seaford is finding out what residents are doing for their communities, often unsung, just for the joy of sharing and contributing. Recognising and rewarding exceptional achievements is a great privilege. Residents are invited to nominate organisations or individuals who they feel have contributed to the community of Seaford or excelled in their activities beyond Seaford.”.
If you know someone who deserves recognition, please send your nomination to civic@seafordtowncouncil.gov.uk clearly outlining why you believe they should receive an award.
The closing date for nominations is Friday 6 March 2026.
Further details about the Annual Town Meeting on 30 April will be announced in due course.
