Each year, the Town Council sets a budget for the coming financial year and, from this, agrees its precept (the level of council tax required from residents). The draft budgets are considered by each budget holding committee before being recommended to Full Council for final approval (usually in January each year). Throughout the year, each budget holding committee reviews performance against budget year to date. The Town Council also issues a Council Tax Leaflet each year, providing an overview of the budget figures for the Town Council. Please see the Council Tax Leaflet page for more details.
