The Environment Agency will commence Phase 1 of the bi-annual beach maintenance works at Seaford from Monday 13th October 2025. A single bulldozer will profile and stockpile shingle for an initial two-week period along the frontage.
The shingle recycling works will then commence, with site set-up at Splash Point during w/c 27th October 2025 and recycling starting on Monday 3rd November 2025. Material will be moved from between Splash Point and Cliffe Gardens and evenly distributed back to the central section of the beach. The extraction location may need to relocate to Tide Mills if there’s insufficient surplus shingle at Splash Point.
Phase 2 will take place in February/March 2026.
