Seaford Town Council is delighted to announce that it is preparing an Expression of Interest for Seaford to enter the mix to become UK Town of Culture 2028 — an exciting new national competition celebrating the creativity, character, and cultural life of towns across the country.

This is a unique moment for Seaford.

A successful bid would shine a national spotlight on our remarkable:
• Coastal landscape and natural environment
• Vibrant creative community
• Local heritage and identity
• Enterprising and community led spirit

Becoming the UK Town of Culture has the potential to unlock new opportunities for residents, businesses, visitors, artists, makers, cultural groups, and voluntary organisations. But to tell Seaford’s story authentically — and design a programme that reflects the whole community — we need your ideas, your voice, and your vision.

You’re Invited: Seaford Town of Culture Ideas Workshop
We are hosting an open workshop to gather ideas, spark collaboration and begin crafting the cultural story we want to tell together.
Whether you’re a business owner, creative practitioner, community organiser, volunteer, or simply someone passionate about Seaford — you are warmly invited to take part.

At the workshop, we will:
• Explore what makes Seaford special
• Generate ideas for cultural events, themes and partnerships
• Identify opportunities to celebrate heritage, creativity and community pride
• Begin shaping the foundations of our Expression of Interest
• Build connections across sectors and groups

Your contribution could help shape a cultural legacy for years to come.

Why Your Participation Matters
A strong bid depends on a strong partnership. Local voices, organisations and businesses will be central to:
• Designing the vision
• Delivering future events and projects
• Ensuring long term impact
• Celebrating the town’s story in all its diversity

This is a rare chance to help define Seaford’s cultural future — and we would love for you to be part of it.
