SEAFORD, 11 March 2026 — Seaford Town Council is pleased to announce the successful award of concession licences for the 2026 season, following a thorough evaluation process carried out by the Town Council’s Concessions Panel earlier this week. All applications were carefully assessed and scored against quality and price criteria to ensure a fair, transparent, and robust selection process.
Two concession opportunities were available for the 2026 season: the Bönningstedt Promenade Forecourt and the West View Concession Beach Huts.
Bönningstedt Promenade Forecourt
The Bönningstedt Promenade Forecourt concession has been awarded to Carnival Ice Cream Supplies, the current concessionaire. The company achieved an overall score of 85% for quality and price and will be paying £82,500 over the three‑year licence period.
Carnival Ice Cream Supplies impressed the panel with a strong emphasis on sustainability—a key focus in their proposal. Notably, the business has invested in a new zero‑emission electric van specifically for use at the concession site:
“Sustainability is central to Carnival Ice Cream’s operations. We have recently invested in a new eco‑friendly, zero‑emission electric van, purchased specifically for this site. This investment enables us to serve our Mr Whippy ice creams, soft drinks, and ice lollies with zero on‑site emissions, significantly reducing our environmental footprint.”
The Town Council welcomes this proactive investment and commends the concessionaire’s commitment to reducing environmental impacts along Seaford’s seafront.
West View Concession Beach Huts
One of the West View Concession Beach Huts has been awarded to Seaford Photography, an exciting new local start‑up. The business plans to offer fine art prints of Seaford alongside photo restoration services, operating from late April/May through to September for the 2026 season. Seaford Photography achieved an overall score of 92% for quality and price and will be paying £200 per month.
In line with concession requirements, Seaford Photography has committed to opening for a minimum of five hours every Saturday, Sunday, and Bank Holiday throughout the summer season, with the flexibility to open additional weekdays as they choose.
The Town Council is delighted to support a creative new enterprise that celebrates Seaford’s local landscape and community identity.
Commitment to the Community
Seaford Town Council remains committed to delivering fair and transparent concession processes that enhance the seafront experience for both residents and visitors. The Council extends its thanks to all applicants and looks forward to working with the successful concessionaires throughout the 2026 season.
